USL Academy & Youth

Thank You for a Great Summer 2026 Season!

USL Academy: Taking the Next Step

This summer, several of our Columbus Force SC U16–U19 boys earned the exciting opportunity to take their development to the next level through the USL Academy.

Through their hard work, leadership, dedication, and performances throughout the regular season with their Columbus Force SC teams, these players were identified for the opportunity to join USL Academy training and continue developing throughout the summer in Cleveland.

The experience gave our players the opportunity to train in a highly competitive environment, challenge themselves alongside new players, and continue building on the foundation they have developed here at Columbus Force SC. It was also another great opportunity for our players to represent Columbus Force and demonstrate what they are capable of at the next level.

We are incredibly proud of each player who earned this opportunity and are excited to see how this experience continues to contribute to their development both on and off the field.

Congratulations to our Columbus Force SC players selected for the 2026 USL Boys Academy Spring/Summer Cycle!

A Successful Summer of USL-Youth

Thank you to all players, families, and staff for your time, effort, and support of our summer program in USL-Youth! Without all that you do our players will not have the experiences they were able to enjoy throughout the summer.

This summer saw our most successful summer of competition within USL-Youth. Across all 5 teams, our club scored over 100 goals with 19 wins! An incredible return. These results have placed 3 teams within contention of qualifying for nationals in December down in Tampa Bay, Florida!

A New Season, A New Chapter

Welcome to a new soccer season, Columbus Force!

One of the most special times of the year has started for our Columbus Force Family—the excitement of seeing familiar faces, welcoming new players and families, and watching our fields come alive again. It’s a time filled with anticipation, possibility, and the promise of all that we can accomplish together.

At Columbus Force, our goal goes beyond wins and losses. We want every player to grow in confidence, develop their skills, build lasting friendships, and discover the joy of being part of a team. Most importantly, we want our players to grow into people who represent our club with pride—on the field, at school, and in our community.

That is why our CHRIP values are at the heart of everything we do:

  • Commitment — Show up, work hard, and give your best to yourself and your team.
  • Humility — Stay grounded, be willing to learn, celebrate others, and remember that there is always room to grow.
  • Respect — Treat teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, and families with kindness and dignity.
  • Integrity — Do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Let your actions reflect who you are.
  • Passion — Bring energy, enthusiasm, and love for the game every time you step onto the field.

These values are what make Columbus Force more than a soccer club. They are the foundation of the culture we are building together. Every training session, every game, every victory, and every challenge is an opportunity to live out CHRIP.

To our coaches, thank you for the time, energy, and care you have given to prepare for the start of the season and that you share with our players. To our families, thank you for being the support system that makes youth soccer possible. And to our players: keep bringing your enthusiasm, work hard, support for one another, and most importantly, continue to enjoy the game.

Let’s make this season one to remember—not simply because of what we achieve on the scoreboard, but because of the character, friendships, and memories we build along the way.

Welcome back, Columbus Force. Let’s live CHRIP, compete with purpose, and make it a great season!

Alejandro Valdivieso

U15-U19 Boys Director

Boys U15-U19

Meet Our New U15–U19 Boys Director

My name is Alejandro Valdivieso, and I’ll be stepping into the role of, U15–U19 Boys Director, at Columbus Force SC. While I’ve already been involved with the club in a number of different capacities, I’ll be stepping into this role this season and getting to know even more of our players, families, and coaches throughout the year.

A Little About Me

My background in soccer has given me the opportunity to experience the game from several different perspectives, including coaching, player development, performance analysis, and the technical side of the sport. I began playing for New York Red Bulls (DA) in my youth days before committing to Drexel University and then finishing my career at Xavier University. As a coach I hold a UEFA C License, USSF C License, and a Level 3 ST Diploma in Performance Analysis from United Soccer Coaches.

Earlier in my career, I had the privilege of working with the U.S. Youth National Teams as a Video Analyst Intern from 2017–2020 and served as a Graduate Assistant at Xavier University. I’ve also had the opportunity to coach with several clubs in the Tri-State & Columbus area at the national level, working with players and teams competing at some of the highest levels of youth soccer. These experiences have allowed me to learn from coaches, players, and professionals across different levels of the game and have helped shape the way I approach player development and coaching today.

Today, in addition to my work with Columbus Force SC, I serve as the Assistant Coach and Technical Director for the Marysville High School Girls Soccer program. Within Columbus Force, I also work across our locations supporting the marketing, social media, and content creation. So, if you’ve been around the club, there’s a good chance you’ve seen me with a camera in my hand, working behind the scenes, or helping capture memories and share what makes our club special.

Looking Ahead

I’m looking foward to this upcoming year and the opportunity to continue working with the U15–U19 Boys program. This is an important stage in a player's development, and I’m looking forward to supporting our players as they continue to grow as soccer players, teammates, college recruitment and young men.

With our U15–U19 boys currently competing in their high school seasons, I want to wish all of our players the best of luck this fall. I’m excited to see what everyone accomplishes and look forward to having the groups back together in November as we get ready to resume the club season.

See everyone in November!

We couldn't be more excited to kick off the 2026/27 season. It's always a great feeling to see the excitement from both our players and coaches as they return to training and begin preparing for the season ahead.

Many of our players have stayed sharp throughout the summer by taking advantage of our supplemental programming. We have already seen significant growth, and the extra work they have put in has not gone unnoticed. We truly appreciate their commitment and dedication to improving during the offseason.

To help prepare our teams for competition, we have scheduled friendlies with several local clubs. These matches not only help strengthen our relationships with neighboring clubs but also provide valuable opportunities for player development. Throughout these friendlies, we will be moving players between teams to evaluate how they compete at different levels and ensure they are placed in the best environment for their continued growth.

Summer Training Success

Our U8-U9 age group had the largest numbers of registration in our summer training program, surpassing our capacity! I want to thank Coach's Alejandro, Caleb, Nolan, & Rylee for their hard work all summer delivering an experience that our players will surely never forget! We are committed to continuing exposing the youngest player to high level training throughout the year, development is no accident!

Growth of Girls Teams

Our age group has experienced tremendous growth on the girls side this year! I am very proud to say we have grown to the capacity of having FOUR girls teams this year, after only previously having two last year! This expansion is a direct representation of the hard work our coaches have put into developing the young ladies as well as providing amazing experiences that have attracted others to want to be apart of. Special shout-out to Coach Jessica Shelton, Columbus Force Juniors Academy Director, who has been directly involved in the development and assessment process of the transition from a training to team space! I am so excited to see where this growth will go long term and look forward to continuing the work of providing more young girls with an opportunity to compete and grow!

Lets make it another fantastic year!

Columbus Force SC Supplemental Training

Fall 2026 Programs: Athletes of Excellence (AOE)

What is the AOE Program?

AOE, Athletes of Excellence, is a focused, intense training program designed to do more than just improve soccer skills; it's built to accelerate your child's overall growth as both a player and a young adult. Think of it as a specialized, fast-track course that goes above and beyond regular team practice.

We believe that true excellence is built on character. That's why we invite players who not only show talent but also demonstrate our core values: Commitment, Humility, Integrity, Respect, and Passion. By focusing on these principles, we ensure that every athlete who joins is dedicated to success on and off the field.

A Professional and Coordinated Approach

We understand that you trust us with your child's development, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Expert Instruction: We are proud to announce that the AOE class will be run by our U15-U19 Boys Director, Alejandro Valdivieso & Sports Performance Director, Mario Saurez. This ensures the highest level of professional guidance and expertise.

Integrated Training Plan: To ensure your child's success in AOE supports their team experience, we work directly with their Force team coach. This allows us to create a
unified development plan, making sure the advanced skills and habits they learn in AOE complement their regular team training and game schedule.

A Special Week with Eintracht Frankfurt

Thank you Coach Nicolai, Coach Taskin and to all our Campers!

This summer, Columbus Force SC was incredibly excited to welcome Coach Nicolai Adam and Coach Taskin Aksoy from Eintracht Frankfurt to Columbus for a special week of training with our players.

The camp was an incredible experience for our players, combining high-level training, new perspectives, and plenty of fun along the way. From the first session to the final day, our players had the opportunity to challenge themselves, learn from coaches with an elite international background, and experience a different approach to the game.

What made the week especially rewarding was seeing our players embrace every session with energy and enthusiasm. They were pushed outside of their comfort zones, encouraged to make decisions, compete, and find new ways to solve problems on the field. Beyond the technical and tactical development, the camp gave our players an opportunity to simply enjoy the game, make memories, and have fun playing soccer.

We are incredibly thankful to Coach Nicolai and Coach Taskin for the time, knowledge, and passion they brought to Columbus Force SC. Their ability to connect with our players while creating a challenging and enjoyable environment made the week truly special.

Experiences like this are a great reminder of the opportunities that come with being part of Columbus Force SC. We are proud to continue creating experiences that expose our players to different coaching philosophies, cultures, and perspectives from around the soccer world.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the camp possible, and most importantly, to all of our Columbus Force players who made the week so memorable.

We can't wait to welcome Coach Nicolai and Coach Taskin back to Columbus next year! 🇩🇪

Until then, we’ll be carrying the lessons, memories, and energy from this summer forward into the next season.
